The rib climbs as it turns, then comes back the other way. One change of direction makes a chevron, several a zigzag, and the fade rounds the point into a softer curve.

Good to know

  • One change of direction with a 50 to 70 % fade gives the clearest chevron.
  • Every leg keeps the same slope: the twist is shared between them.
  • The pattern costs nothing extra to print, and it prints in vase mode too.
